It all starts with an assessment of your personal style and an evaluation of how what you already own reflects the look you desire. Your Closet Consultant will help you decide which items are timeless classics, and which are tired throwbacks. You’ll learn what to keep, what to tailor, and what to eliminate. After editing your wardrobe, your Closet Consultant will provide a fresh perspective on what is left by suggesting new ways of pairing your old favorites for work, play, and everyday. She will also identify any gaps and provide you with a shopping list that fits both your style and budget.
The process begins with a half hour phone interview, when your Closet Consultant will go over your goals for the service and learn more about your lifestyle and closet. Then comes the fun part – a personal consultation (approximately three hours) during which your Closet Consultant will clean out the items you don’t wear anymore, pin the items that might work with some fine tuning and alterations, and organize your new looks. When your consultation is complete, you will have: 1) a clean and organized closet; 2) a shopping list of must haves to add to the new looks your Consultant has created; and 3) bags of items to be consigned or donated to charity.
